We Will Fall
La “lenta cancellazione del futuro” ha lasciato il posto all’inesorabile cronaca di una precipitosa e rovinosa sequenza di pietre miliari della nostra distruzione. Una collezione che si arricchisce a velocità crescente di avvertimenti disperati e malamente recepiti, promesse annunciate che saranno certamente tradite, traguardi prefissati che mai verranno raggiunti. Come una qualsiasi popolazione di esseri viventi in mancanza di un fattore di regolazione esterno (i.e. un predatore), prolifereremo fino a consumare ogni risorsa a disposizione cadendo nell’inevitabile cancellazione dall’estinzione. Da qui la domanda: cosa fare nel frattempo?
We Will Fall, playlist di un’ora a cadenza mensile curata da Paynomindtous, cerca di dare risposta a questo quesito ed ai seguenti: cosa c’è di interessante e meritevole di essere preservato nel panorama musicale contemporaneo? Quali scene, suoni, programmi e obiettivi possono essere significativi per comprendere la situazione attuale? Che tipi di produzioni musicali sono considerabili rilevanti come strumenti per un’analisi critica? E ancora, è preferibile concentrarsi sulle espressioni artistiche che veicolano un messaggio politico, pronti ad afferrare gli ultimi disperati barlumi di speranza di cambiamento, o al contrario è lecito lasciarsi vincere dall’oblio?
L’unica certezza a nostra disposizione è: we will fall.
