Dalla letteratura al cinema, partendo dai grandi padri del genere quali Cronenberg e Tsukamoto, percorreremo le varie tappe di quel sentiero organico e viscerale che ha dato vita a tanti e mostruosi capolavori.
Dalle metamorfosi di The Fly e The Thing alle battaglie psichiche di Scanners; dalle perversioni di macchina e carne di Tetsuo e Videodrome, alle derive cyberpunk di Akira. E non dimentichiamoci del parassita cosmico per eccellenza: Alien.
Il Body Horror, da sottogenere di nicchia, si presta ora a qualsiasi narrativa viziandone la pelle, esagerandone i tratti, donando immagini indimenticabili, senza però rimanere superficiale.
Come un morbo o un virus, il body horror è un grande veicolo di informazioni.

Today we will talk about the history of Body Horror.
From literature to cinema, starting from the great fathers of the genre such as Cronenberg and Tsukamoto, we will travel through the various stages of that organic and visceral path that gave life to so many monstrous masterpieces.
From the metamorphoses of The Fly and The Thing to the psychic battles of Scanners; from the perversions of machine and flesh of Tetsuo and Videodrome, to the cyberpunk drifts of Akira. And let's not forget the cosmic parasite par excellence: Alien.
Body Horror, from a niche subgenre, now lends itself to any narrative by pampering its skin, exaggerating its features, giving unforgettable images, without however remaining superficial.
Like a disease or a virus, body horror is a great vehicle of information.
Long live the new flesh!
